Red Large Scrunchie for Selina
Overview
20 stitches on 7mm needles made the scrunchie way too thick. 10 stitches would have sufficed.
The tube isn’t particularly short, but… could have been longer.
Inputs
Needles: DPN 7 mm.
Yarn: Carpe Diem Color: 714.0366. Lot: 3351.
Instructions
Cast on 20 stitches on DPN.
Knit in the round in stockinette stitch until the tube measures 41 cm.
Transfer live stitches to a lifeline.
Cut a rubber band of 21 cm, pass it through the tube, and tie a robust knot. My computations are that the knot uses 3 to 4 cm.
Sew the live stitches into the start of the tube, removing the lifeline.
