Emergency procedure

This text describes how to deal with emergencies such as traffic accidents.

1. Overview

Stay calm. Stop and assess the situation.

Turn on hazard lights.

Get an overview of the scene (location, number of vehicles, injuries, risks, etc.).

Don a reflective vest.

Deploy the pannendreieck (warning triangle).

Remove injured people from danger if necessary (e.g., fire risk).

Alert emergency services (phone numbers). Clearly report: location, number of injured, type of injuries, hazards.

Stay with the injured until help arrives. Keep them warm, monitor their condition, talk to them.
